Talk about nerd space, BlinkGeo is a new Digg-like site for the geospatial community. For those of you not in the know, the term geospatial describes the use of spatial software in conjunction with geographic datasets.
Basically, it’s got to do with mapping and geographic information. So BlinkGeo has taken the Digg schematic, allowing users to post, share and vote on stories, news articles, blog entries and the like—as long as they are geospatially related. Stories are rated based on user opinions. Most active users get their name listed along with their stats on a separate page. Tags are used to group stories in an easy to find manner.
