The Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum is designated as the Hawaii State Museum of Natural and Cultural History; it is located in the district of Honolulu and has a massive collection of some thirteen and a half million entomological specimens. This museum that was founded in eighteen hundred and eighty nine also houses the worlds largest collect of Polynesian cultural and scientific artifacts.
