For those of you who need to upload and share bibliographies, BibSoup is going to let you get the job done both fast and accurately. This new web application lets you quickly build collections that can be shared with any study group you’re part of, and also with every other user of the site. Collections can be created using your own files, and once they’ve been put together then they can easily be re-exported. Supported file formats include BIBTEX, JSON, CSV and RIS.
And when it comes to the bibliographies that others have created and shared through the site, then these can be searched using several different filters, and downloaded to your computer. The most recent collections are all listed on the homepage, with the number of records that make them up clearly displayed next to their names.
Future enhancements will include the ability to work with other users of the site, both for the creation and the edition of bibliographies. You’ll be able to give administrator rights to whomever you want, and let him modify what you had originally uploaded to the same extent that you could do it.
