Beyond Appliances, a kitchen appliances startup, has raised $2 million in a funding round led by Fireside Ventures. Dharana Capital and angel investors such as Livspace co-founders Saurabh Jain and Ramakant Sharma, Design Cafe founder Shezan Bhojani, and former TTK Prestige CEO Chandru Kalro also participated in the round. The funds will be used for research and development and to improve the company’s manufacturing abilities.

Beyond Appliances co-founders Eshwar K Vikas and Rakesh Patil are excited about the growth and innovation this funding will enable. They believe more advanced and user-friendly kitchen appliances can be developed with increased investment in R&D. Beyond Appliances plans to use this funding to expand its market presence and strengthen its position in the competitive kitchen appliance industry.

The company’s goal is to transform Indian kitchens into smart, dynamic spaces.

Funding to boost kitchen innovation

One of Beyond Appliances’ innovations is the world’s first Android-powered chimney with a 7-inch display that also serves as a kitchen management system.

It allows users to access OTT apps, music, set reminders, and create grocery lists through integrations with apps like Zepto and Blinkit. The company also offers smart hobs with digital timers, whistle counters, and safety features like Flame Failure Detection (FFD). Eshwar K Vikas, Co-Founder & CEO of Beyond Appliances, said, “With our technology-first approach and deep understanding of kitchen dynamics, we aim to reimagine how people interact with their kitchens.

Having already revolutionized commercial kitchens through Mukunda Foods, we understand the profound impact that thoughtful innovation can bring to everyday cooking.”

Rakesh Patil, Co-Founder & CTO, added, “This funding marks a pivotal moment in our journey of technology innovation in the kitchen appliance space. Through extensive research and development, we’ve identified that Indian kitchens face unique challenges that off-the-shelf solutions can’t address.”

Beyond Appliances currently sells its products on e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart, as well as in select retail stores in Bangalore. The company holds multiple patents and plans to expand its portfolio with eight new innovations in existing categories before entering new segments.
