Players faced significant challenges during the recent Elden Ring: Nightreign network test.

The game, set to release on May 30, 2025, across various platforms, proved to be a formidable experience for many participants. Over the course of the test, players encountered bosses of varying difficulty.

The final boss of the cycle, Nightlord Gladius, Beast of Night, was defeated 58,615 times. Mini bosses were also engaged, with defeat counts ranging from 99,000 to 195,000 depending on their frequency of appearance. The test saw a high level of player activity and cooperation.

A total of 23,627,489 attacks were recorded to revive downed allies. This suggests that around 7.9 million successful revives occurred during the test period. However, the game’s challenging nature also led to significant losses.

Player challenges and cooperation detailed

Players collectively lost 37,957,453,867 runes upon death without retrieval. This staggering figure highlights the difficulty players faced.

Technical issues, such as login problems, initially hindered some players from accessing matches. These issues were largely resolved over the weekend, allowing more participants to engage with the game. FromSoftware, known for creating challenging titles, has seemingly maintained this reputation with Nightreign.

The shift to a faster-paced, online co-op format may have contributed to the difficulties players experienced. Despite the challenges, many players appreciated the new style of gameplay and the opportunity for cooperation. As with previous FromSoftware titles, dedicated players are expected to rise to the challenge and master Nightreign’s demanding gameplay over time.

For those who missed the test or struggled during it, the full release on May 30, 2025, will provide more opportunities to conquer the challenges of Nightreign. Fans can look forward to engaging in this new adventure within the Elden Ring universe.
