Audiggle is a new software application that brings something that was previously privative to iPhone owners into the hands of desktop users: the recognition of songs as they are playing. That is, if you play a song or if a song can be heard (even in the background) when the app is running, then it will tell you the title of the song, and the name of the performer.
Audiggle can do much more than that, actually – it can provide you with extensive information on the artist in question, ranging from his biography and video clips to upcoming tour dates. Of course, the lyrics to the song that motivated the search to begin with will be displayed in all their glory for you to check them out.
This application is available both for Windows and MacOS. System requirements are enumerated in the “Download” section, and it must be said that Audiggle is a (thankfully) lightweight application – I bet the vast majority of you will be able to use it in your current setups right away.
Audiggle.com In Their Own Words
“Ever found yourself listening to a great song in a movie or TV show but don’t know the name? Audiggle is the brand new audio recognition software which can instantly tell you the song and artist name of anything playing on your PC.”
Why Audiggle.com It Might Be A Killer
It is an excellent tool for the discovery of new artists and songs, and as an application it is really lightweight.
