Named in honor of the late Congressman John Ashbrook, the Asbrook Center aims at teaching American about their history and how lucky they are to be born in a country like the United States. The Ashbrook Center offers academic programs for both undergraduate and graduate students.
Since its creation, the Ashbrook Scholar program has increased significantly in both size and scope. Ashbrook Scholars are renowned in both their academic and personal achievements, and moral character. The young students selected for this scholar program come from a broad variety of academic backgrounds, but share a common characteristic in their public spiritedness and common concern for principled political leadership. Teachers from across the United States attend the programs offered by the Ashbrook Center for middle and high school history and government. These programs are designed to develop the teacher’s knowledge and regard for the subject they teach.
