Apple has released iOS 18.3, a crucial update that addresses 29 vulnerabilities, including a critical flaw that could allow malicious apps to gain elevated privileges. The company has acknowledged reports that this issue may have been actively exploited in versions of iOS before iOS 17.2.

The update fixes several critical issues, such as kernel vulnerabilities that could allow malicious apps to gain root privileges and execute code with kernel privileges. It also addresses flaws in WebKit, the engine powering the Safari browser, which could lead to command injection.

Additionally, iOS 18.3 resolves issues in AirPlay and Passkeys that could allow unauthorized access to Bluetooth or cause unexpected application termination and code execution.
