The much-awaited Apple Intelligence will roll out this fall across iPhone, Mac, and iPad platforms. However, not all features of the new AI platform will be immediately available – they’re set to release over the next year.

At its initial launch, Apple Intelligence will cater exclusively to U.S. English-speaking users. This move clearly signals the company’s prioritization of this demographic, leaving international users waiting for AI support for their languages. The timeframe for such expansion remains unclear.

Major interest surrounds the integration between Apple Intelligence and Siri. AI upgrades are predicted to transform Siri into an even more effective virtual assistant.

Apple Intelligence’s staggered launch schedule

Nevertheless, not all enhanced Siri functions will be initially available. Delayed features include Siri’s interaction with various app-based activities, which are expected to come with the iOS 18 update.

Siri’s screen-awareness feature is another anticipated improvement, set to contextualize live on-screen content. This feature, however, is delayed, and the release date remains undefined.

Future enhancements for Apple Intelligence also include substantial updates to the Mail application, with new features aimed at simplifying inbox organization. These changes, possibly included in the iOS 18.1 or 18.2 updates, are still a while away.

Despite the enticing prospect of Apple Intelligence’s advanced features, users will need to wait for the full release, set to continue through next year. The wait, however, seems worth it considering the elevated functionalities promised by Apple. Meanwhile, as we anticipate these improvements, the current features provide a foundation to ease into the transition.
