Apa.org stands for American Psychological Association. This organization is a resource for those who have gone to school for and studied psychology. There are numerous reasons why an individual would wish to go into such a demanding field. There are many uses for psychologists. Many psychologists go on to become psychiatrists – the difference being that one may administer medicine, and the other may not. That is the most vast difference; others are subtle. This page also humors individuals who are curious as to what the organization does.
Apa.org has a section in which new and old psychology topics are listed. This site includes thesis statements, hypothesis papers and several different research papers by well-known doctors and scholars throughout the past several years. The more medical technology advances, the more individuals have access to the brain, and the more the world knows why people and animals act the way they act. There are still many mysteries; however, several have been solved just within a short decade.
Apa.org lists a job section that allows recent graduates, or simply those wishing to find a new path, to find a job anywhere in the country that one may become available. This includes hospitals, clinics, and veterans hospitals that are low on staff. With these lists, psychology majors have no reason to open a phone book and dial up numbers to inquire about a job position “the old fashioned way”.
This website is an excellent resource for information about psychology, and is used by many across the world.
