Bishoujo is japanese for teen girl, and AnimExpansion.com is the source for big bishuojos, not as in elder, but as in plus sizes.
The site works as a repository of visual art in the anime genre: most of the works are original sketches whereas others are reelaborations of some of the most popular series’ characters (some hand-drawn and some photoshopped in varying levels of quality). The list of artists contributing to the site is really long, which in turn makes sure the site is updated very frequently with new material and media. Other than the impressively large and diverse collection of art, there’re lots of other sections of interest, like fan fiction, screencaps of series where expansion or stuffing goes, plus some videos as well. You can also get access to some scans from magazines and comic books, and the links section carries recommendations you’ll certainly enjoy if you liked AnimExpansion.com. It would be great to be able to search the site by tags (the links work surprisingly well and navigation is easy, but it would definitely make maintenance easier and would allow the collection to be discovered more dynamically), to get some clear information on distribution rights (and where free easy sharing options and codes to repost images), and RSS feeds. Slideshows can’t hurt either.
