OK, so I’m a Droid owner, but admittedly I don’t usually download any bells and whistles for it. To be honest, the salesman at Radio Shack had to corner me to even get me to buy the thing. But that was a few years ago now, and my appreciation for technology has obviously grown (I would be in trouble if it hadn’t). But for all you Droid users who love to dress your device up with all the latest apps and accessories, there’s Android Hub.
What it’s all about
Android Hub is the one-stop-shop for all your Android shopping needs. The site lets you search through its huge library of apps, for any type of device (HTC, Samsung Tablet, Motorola, etc.) and it’s broken down into categories, including:
- Social
- Shopping
- Education
- Entertainment
- Lifestyle
- Comedy
- Finance
- Books
- Weather
- Travel
I can go on and on. If you’re looking for a specific category of app for your Droid, you’ll probably find it at Android Hub.
How it works
When you click on your desired category, the site takes you to all the apps that are available for download. For example, I clicked on the travel and local category. All the Droid apps are displayed and broken down into “all,” “free,” and “paid,” and you can further sort by “top rated,” “top downloaded,” and “recent.” Click on the app you want, and you’re taken to a description and download page similar to what you would see on Google Play. If it looks good, you can start your download straight from the site.
Personal touch
If you’re like me, you probably don’t even know what you’re looking for when it comes to mobile apps. Luckily, Android Hub holds your hand throughout the search and discover process. The site gives you recs and extensive lists to learn more about the most popular apps in the market, so you can make the best Android app download decision (say that ten times fast!). And the site isn’t associated with Google Play or Android, so you’ll be getting the best non-biased advice and recommendations. Check out the staff’s “Best Choice” apps here.
I’m always a big fan of sites that do all the legwork for you, and when it comes to Android Hub, the team is still icing their limbs. What kind of joke is that, Holly? Sorry. Point is, they’ve scoured the net to bring you all the best apps for your Android, so you can save yourself the time and effort. If you’re an Android user, definitely check out Android Hub. Your little mobile device will be happy you did.
