AMD’s upcoming Strix Halo processors have been spotted in the PassMark benchmark database. The Ryzen AI MAX PRO 390 and Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 395 feature Zen 5 architecture and RDNA 3.5 graphics. The PRO 390 is equipped with Radeon 8050S graphics, which include 32 Compute Units (CUs).
Surprisingly, the 8050S scored higher than the 8060S, which was rumored to have 40 CUs, in the 3D tests. If these benchmarks are accurate, AMD has produced integrated GPUs (iGPUs) that deliver performance comparable to entry-level to mid-range discrete graphics cards, such as the RX 7600 and RTX 3060. However, they still fall short of higher-end models like the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070.
Amd’s latest Strix Halo benchmark
The Strix Halo series includes both PRO variants for professionals and non-PRO variants aimed at gamers. While detailed differences between these sub-series are still sparse, both are expected to support Ryzen PRO technologies, potentially offering similar performance levels.
AMD is set to officially announce the new Ryzen AI MAX 300 series at CES 2025, just two weeks away. The technology community is eagerly awaiting more details about these new processors. In other news, AMD is reportedly preparing Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 GPUs, with mobile variants also identified.
The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is tipped to launch alongside FSR4 and Ryzen 9000X3D in late January. Stay tuned for further updates on what promises to be a significant addition to AMD’s lineup.
