Amarilloparks.org – Amarillo City Parks Provide an Excellent Adventure

The official portal for the parks system for the City of Amarillo in Texas amarilloparks.org is the information source for their activities and facilities. They are out to enhance the quality of life for their citizens by offering aquatics programs and the city zoo, an athletics program and recreation, as well as special events throughout the year. In order to help users someone select the park and recreation service they’re looking for, there is a six step procedure. The first step is the listing of the seventy-three parks facilities in the system along with a city map of their locations. The map legend differentiates with symbols the type of facility. It could be a golf course or regular park, have tennis courts or a swimming pool, offer softball areas or be the zoo (though, there is only one of those and several of the others).

Amarilloparks.org has Special Events listing that currently has activities that date out to the seventeenth of July 2012, which is the start of Summer Science Camp. Other fun things coming up are the 38th year for the Skyhounds flying disc canine competition on May twentieth, as part of Muttfest. Every Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. from June fifth until August twenty-first at Sam Houston Park will be live music performances. Roxie the Raccoon will be feted with a birthday party on June the sixth at the Memorial Park. Sammy the Seal will be getting his birthday party June the twelfth through the fourteenth back at the Southeast Pool. The Fish Derby is on June the twenty-third, and Science Camp is for those age seven to eleven. It promises to be a fun messy time, and reservations can be made through amarilloparks.org.
