AlternativeEnergy is a new site with a focus on energy, specifically, alternative energy sources, of course. Content is provided by the site’s editors as well as you the user.
What’s most notable about the site, is how they’ve latched on to just about every social networking and modern internet fixture out there. They’ve got the usual videos, photos, and shopping sections. There’s a separate area for gadgets, which may not have a whole lot to do with the environment, but which are still pretty handy apps—there’s a gadget for Last.fm , Scramble, Moviemates, Orkut and even PoshMamas among other things. AlternativeEnergy also has a job board, RSS feeds, and discussion forums. Interestingly they offer coaching for those of us who need a little help being more green. Be sure too, to check out the election trail as AlternativeEnergy follows the candidates and their takes on being green.
