Agriculture in the Classroom is a grassroots program that’s coordinated by the US Department of Agriculture. It is intended for students to gain awareness about agriculture in the economy and society.
In this site you can find all the information you need to know about the program. In the Teacher Resources section you can find information about lesson plans, all about the taching agriculture award program, teaching strategies, agricultural profiles and a national resource directory filled with educational material. In the Student Center section you can read about the state agricultural facts and you can find web quests for elementary or secondary students. There is a Kid’s Zone for children to get involved and also a Teen section as well. In the States Program section you can get informed on the latest State and Territory Programs and you will also find contact information for any further questions or comment you might have.
