The AEA.net website belongs to an international organization of instrument facilities and avionics. The organization works with various aircraft carriers, manufacturers and the government. AEA is an acronym which stands for Aircraft Electronics Association. This website was founded in 1957 and the association represents over thirteen hundred aviation businesses. Repair stations specializing in repair, maintenance and installation of electronic systems and avionics are also included in the businesses represented by AEA.
Some of the members of AEA are manufacturers of avionics equipment, airframes and test equipment. Some major educational institutions and distributors are also members of AEA. The primary aim of the Aircraft Electronics Association (and therefore AEA.net) is to become a self-sustaining and worldwide organization dedicated to enhancing the benefits and profitability of its members. Members can enjoy a leader that would facilitate their communications with different constituent groups and also establish quality processes for them. In addition, they can also avail a wide array of services and benefits as a part of the perks of being a member of AEA and get access to Avionics News, which is a monthly magazine issued by the organization.
As a member, one has to visit the “member services” tab for the purpose of accessing the services available to the member such as technical publications, repair station resources and STC resources. In order to use these services, the members are required to enter their username and password so that they can log in. All the benefits enjoyed by members can be found under the same tab.
The homepage of AEA consists of an events calendar where the current month’s page would be displayed and the dates on which events are taking place would be highlighted. On scrolling over to these highlighted dates, a pop-out mini-window would appear that contains details about events. Regulatory updates can also be found online right on the AEA.net homepage itself.
