Steven Mih, a repeat entrepreneur, has launched a new startup called Across AI that aims to revolutionize enterprise data management with a concept called ‘agentic memory.’ This advanced AI technology goes beyond traditional chatbots by making decisions and taking actions on behalf of users, which could greatly benefit sales and revenue teams. Across AI is developing a “dynamic memory system” to enhance complex enterprise workflows. The platform creates a shared ‘agentic memory’ that can identify sales opportunities, spot risks, and suggest key questions for sales teams.

Mih, who previously sold his company to IBM, is targeting chief revenue officers and sales teams by connecting to various internal and external data sources. “Sales teams often struggle with obtaining and utilizing the right information when they need it—whether it’s about products, customers, competitors, or optimal processes,” Mih said. “Critical knowledge often gets bottlenecked among a few experts or buried in vast amounts of unstructured data, causing inefficiencies, delays, and costly errors.”

Mih has teamed up with professors from UC Berkeley and Stanford University who have researched improving AI efficacy in high-stakes settings.

Across AI has raised $5.75 million in a seed round co-led by Cota Capital and Village Global, a venture firm backed by prominent figures like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, and Reid Hoffman. The system is designed to continuously adapt, retaining only relevant information and discarding outdated data based on a deep understanding of the workflow context.

Mih emphasized that data security is integral to their platform, with the memory system operating within the company’s secure environment and maintaining access control over sensitive information. Across AI’s founding team includes Dr. Niloufar Salehi, an AI researcher known for her work in human-centered AI, and Dr.

Afshin Nikzad, a specialist in advanced algorithms and machine learning models. The company is actively recruiting passionate professionals for various engineering roles at their San Francisco and Vancouver locations. “Throughout my career, deep product and account knowledge gave me an edge in prospect conversations but took an enormous amount of time,” Mih said.

“As a sales manager, I depended on each team member to build a pipeline and execute processes at the highest level. We started this company to build the solution I always wished I had—that understands the context of my deals and has the collective knowledge of my sales team to assist me with expert-level strategy and tactics.”
