AAA-Clouds.com/Rainmaker – Make Clouds (?) Here

AAA-Clouds.com/RainmakerRainmaker is a site that, apparently, lets you make “clouds” for your blog, website, presentations, etc. What does that mean?? I have no idea, and no amount of search on the site provided further clues.

I freely admit I am no tech-geek and much of the lexicon escapes me, but isn’t it the job of the site to explain to me what the service is, what is might look like, and why I should use it? This site does nothing of the sort, although it does tell me more than once that it the site makes, “the best damn clouds, period.” I also learned that Rainmaker clouds are “Asynchronous, Cached, Statistically Distributed, Flexible, Smart.” My only experience with clouds are to use clouds as a device to insert text above text, or to create tag clouds…but the site does not define or show examples to clarify that is its purpose. It’s quite odd, this site. The home page does have its version of step-by-step instructions, but the font is so small it is almost impossible to read and it still provides no insight into what the main purpose of the ‘cloud’ formation is.

AAA-Clouds.com/Rainmaker In Their Own Words

“Create clouds for websites, blogs, executive dashboards, reports, presentations, business applications, and newsletters.

Run Rainmaker from your own site or even on your intranet.”

Why AAA-Clouds.com/Rainmaker It Might Be A Killer

If I understood what a cloud was in the context of this site, it might be a useful web application.

Some Questions About AAA-Clouds.com/Rainmaker

Where is the explanation or examples of what the heck this site does? I can’t even get farther than this with my questions, as I have no idea what the site does. This is definitely one of the more bizarre new startups and obviously won’t draw any users unless they are well-versed in internet-speak, and is that what the creator wants? And I won’t even touch the domain name or how anyone would find this site…. AAA-Clouds.com/Rainmaker
