Sanford Health is a non-lucrative healthcare delivery system that operates mainly in South Dakota, but it also provides services to neighboring States such as Minnesota, Nebraska and Iowa. It is composed of hospitals, clinics, a clinical research center and seven basic research centers.
It includes over 300 physicians, which are allocated in two different compartments: the Health Services compartment (which covers all areas pertaining to patient care), and the Development and Research compartment (devoted to non-patient care activities). Its website can be found at SanfordHealth.com, and it includes all the information that both patients and visitors could need, such as registration, preventative guidelines, and visiting hours. Maps are also included for easier reference, along with instructions and directions on how to get there. Sanford’s annual report can also be viewed online, alongside the health plan in effect. Furthermore, the site has a section that covers employment opportunities at Sanford, including educational and volunteer opportunities.
