Cancer is a terrible disease that affects too many people around the world every year. Last year alone 7.
6 million died from cancer. The National Foundation for Cancer research was set up to support cancer research and public education on the prevention, early diagnosis, improvement of treatments, and in order to find a cure. The NCFCR promotes and makes it easier for scientists to collaborate and make progress to this end. This foundation has for over thirty years approached cancer research from the molecular and genetic levels . The approach of the NFCR is to investigate the root causes of cancer in order to understand how to stop it from spreading. Scientists are focusing on the most promising areas against cancer including genetic mapping, antibody therapies, molecular profiling, chemoprevention, and angiogenesis.
