Users can search the site by scientific or common name of the plant or by type (succulents, herbs, tropical fruit trees, etc). The site also carries a comprehensive index of links to related sites on the web, plus a directory of nurseries in the southwest and north Mexico, a listing of gardening associations and a particularly interesting feature, which is the Gardening Calendar: a twelve-step tutorial as to what you should be doing each month to get a lush desert garden the best part of the year. The site also carries a version in Spanish.
